• Know about and understand the chain of infection and how to break it
• Know and believe in the importance of vaccines – flu, pneumonia, covid-19 and other
• Have the recommended vaccines that can help to avoid an infectious disease
• Wash hands at the recommended times throughout the day
• Practice social distancing when recommended
• Wear effective masks and other personal protective equipment when recommended to protect self and others
• Know the symptoms of an infection and what to do
• Want to personally avoid an infection
• Want to help others avoid an infection - e.g., co-workers, friends, students, volunteers, visitors, others
• Want to help family members avoid an infection
• Know and use trustworthy sources for accurate information about infections, other illnesses, conditions, what to do, when to call a doctor, treatment options, and other guidelines
